How to dress for the first date for women

1. Dress for the occasion

Have some plans as to where you would go for your first date and get dressed accordingly. If you are going for a dinner, you might want to wear a skirt or slacks with a cute blouse. If you are going for a movie, a casual wear like jeans and a nice dressier shirt will do. But be sure to ask for a dress code with your date for you don't want too look awkward to others as a pair.Whatever you might wear, be sure to use freshly laundered clothes. As for shoes, both a pair of heels or the cute flats will do.

2. Dress in a way that puts your best look forward

Dressing this way helps to boost your confidence level. Make sure your pants or skirt fit well around the waist and that the hems of your full- length jeans hit around the bottom of your ankles. Shirts should cover your waist without falling past your butt and the neckline should be an appropriate cut- the one that you are comfortable with. Choose colors that work for you. To highlight blue or green eyes, try cool, dark colors like violet or deep- blue. If you have got brown or hazel eyes, you might want to try warm colors like coral or off- white color. You can highlight or conceal your body shape. Dark colors conceal. so wear something darker on an area that you don't want to draw attention to.

3.. Looking clean:

Looking clean makes you look appealing and hence boost your confidence level up. So pay bit more attention on your hygiene for your date than usual. Here are some quick tips in maintaining  hygiene:
Shower directly before getting dressed and moisturize with a scented lotion afterwards.
Brush your teeth and floss your mouth.
Trim your nails.
Apply make- up. Pay special attention to your lips and eyes- highlight one of them.
Style your hair: the safe way is to go with your usual hair style. You can add a hair band or a clip. If you want to try a new hair style, try it the night before so that you will get plenty of time to undo it if it goes ugly.
Put on body spray but not too much.

4.Finish up your outfit

After putting on any accessories, step back from the mirror and take one item away. Remember, your date wants to see you, not your accessories
